The Lichemaster Heinrich Kemmler

Here is another mini handed down to me by my friend Matthew. I fully intended to paint Heinrich in Mattew’s oldenhammer style. However, I quickly realized that this is a very busy model. Maybe the busiest! Two weeks on the painting desk is long enough, thought I. Pushing him any further would have been venturing into tedium.

I decided to copy the ‘eavy metal colour scheme verbatim. The model has so many additional elements compared to the original that the translation would have been more guess work than I’m willing to risk.

To get myself juiced up to paint Kemmler I decided to give his campaign a go in Total War. I always do my best to poop on the Empire, but Bretonnia wanted the smoke. Heinrich has been one of the funner legendary lord campaigns I’ve tried!
